Kids of the nineties and noughties rejoice, Hey Arnold is set to make a return to our screens after Netflix commissioned for a new series of the show.
This is the first time the classic Nickelodeon cartoon since will air new episodes of the show, since 2004, and feature our favourite little football headed character.

Original Hey Arnold composer Jim Lang confirmed the studio has no plans to bring the show back, but Netflix has confirmed it's going to make the sixth season of the classic toon.
The cartoon kicked off 22 years ago, back in 1996, and followed the story of a boy, with a very odd shaped head, living with his grandparents, and pet pig, in their boarding house - along with whole bunch of quirky characters.

The show ran for five seasons and even released a feature-length film in 2002, but after it failed to pull in younger and new viewers the producers decided to pull the plug on Arnold and his friends - to much disappointment of many millennials.
However, long-standing fans were teased with a return, back in 2017, with the feature-film Hey Arnold! The Jungle Movie but Jim Lang said the film didn't bring in the new viewers they wanted.
During an interview about his life and work on the Tunes/Toons podcast, Jim Lang commented: "Look at the numbers!" said Lang. "When the movie premiered, in your age group [millennial] we totally killed."

He added: "With the Nickelodeon audience, not so great. So they decided, 'Nah we're not gonna do it.'"
However, Lang went on to reveal more information about the show's future with the online streaming services.
"Netflix, Amazon, Apple were all people that they were going to go out to with the idea of trying to make a season six of Hey Arnold!" he said.
He added: "We haven't heard anything yet but we've got our fingers crossed."

If all goes ahead we won't have to wait until the three o'clock bell rings to run home and get our daily dose of Arnold and friends - hands up if you are so set to sit and binge on nostalgia.
Now if they could only bring back a few more childhood favourites we'd be all set for a truly great night in - who needs a younger audience anyway? I'm sure there's plenty of 90s kids eager to indulge.
Now if we could just shout 'move it football head' at Netflix in hope they get a move on with bringing it to screens.
