David Harbour From 'Stranger Things' Has Won Christmas With His Horrible-Amazing Christmas Cardigan

The Hawkins, Indiana lawman posted a photo of himself in some shrunken Christmas knitwear to celebrate his Golden Globes nod.

Stranger Things season 2 has been one of this year's biggest TV hits, and has now been recognised with nominations for a variety of awards, including two nods for the Golden Globes.

On top of the nomination for Best Drama Series, there was also a solo nomination for David Harbour - who plays Police Chief Jim Hopper - in the Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role (TV) category.

This is important because he then took to Instagram to post a message of thanks, which is totally normal.

What is not normal is that on top of his chief's uniform he is wearing what is surely the most hideous/wonderful Christmas cardigan that has ever been made.

He might not win a Golden Globe, but he's definitely won Christmas.

He captioned the photo: "I tip my hat to you @goldenglobes for the nomination. My Christmas present came early this year. You got me feeling all the holiday feels"

Look at it. As well as being massively too small for him, it's also got a whole heap of cheesy Christmas crap sewn into it.

Needless to say, the internet reacted in the only way it knows how - It went straight to Photoshop and turned Harbour into a festive meme.

Since then he's been spotted on the cover of Vogue magazine, on the front of his very own Christmas album, in the Hotline Bling video with Drake, and standing next to Elvis Presley and former US president Richard Nixon.

As well as these efforts, his jumper has been placed onto The Grinch, and The Demogorgon (the horrifically ugly monster from Stranger Things).

In other news, Harbour's Stranger Things co-star, Joe Keery has said that he will let the show's creators, brothers Matt and Ross Duffer, shave his head if he wins.

He responded to Harbour's post saying: "If you win David the Duffer's get to shave my head"

We can only hope that he will take inspiration from his Christmas collection when he is choosing what to wear to the awards that will be held on Monday 8 January 2018.

He faces some pretty stiff competition though, and if we are to see Keery, who plays Steve Harrington in the science-fiction show, lose his locks, Harbour will have to see off Alfred Molina, Alexander Skarsgard, David Thewlis, and Christian Slater.

That's a pretty strong line up, but you never know - he might win.
