I'm A Celeb: Ant And Dec Predicted Holly Willoughby Presenting Last Year

I'm A Celeb: Ant And Dec Predicted Holly Willoughby Presenting Last Year

They didn't know how right they were. Spooky.

It's nearly that time again, a load of celebrities that you've sort of heard of - with a healthy sprinkling of real class - will head into the Australian jungle to, you know, eat kangaroo bollocks and cover themselves in spiders, lizards, and whatnot.

Of course, that can only mean that I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! is nearly back and whilst very little has changed with the format - why change a format that sees Z-listers eating bugs that make them vomit? - one key component is missing this year.

Ant McPartlin, exactly one half of the presenting duo alongside Declan Donnelly, has had a bit of a shocking year so far, and won't be joining them.

Without going too far into why, he got in trouble with the law for drink driving, went to rehab for his alcohol problems, and has had a few personal issues in there on top of that. It's not been a good one for Ant, to say the least.

Anyway, in his stead will be This Morning favourite and all-around presenting whizz Holly Willoughby. Not a bad trade off, even if it will be as if Dec has lost a leg.

What makes this change even more bizarre is that Ant and Dec actually predicted that this would happen. Well, sort of.

Last year, when they first arrived in the jungle they were making their grand entrance onto the set and had a little joke in which Dec said: "We're here, for the next three weeks, your hosts with the most - me, and the gorgeous Holly Willoughby!"

Of course, it was a piece of scripted banter between the two, who have been joined at the hip since the nineties and Byker Grove.

Ant replied: "What? Sorry what?!"

Dec then said that they'd got the wrong script and went on to add: "Nobody was sure if you would make it or not! We didn't know if you'd be here!"

How right they were in the end.

Either way, this year's list of celebrities should ensure that there is some excitement to be had in the camp. As well as the non-stop action duo of Harry Redknapp and 'The Governess' from ITV's The Chase (kidding) there is also Emily Atack, and Fleur East.

If that doesn't get you going, you can look at the full list here and get ready for a heady three weeks that promise the usual fun, games, and allegations of animal cruelty.

Bring it on.
