It's less than seven weeks until the second season of Stranger Things is released around the world, and we're finally getting some hints about where the plot will take us. The first instalment concluded quite nicely, leaving the door open to many possibilities of how Will adjusts to normality after spending so much time in the Upside Down.
But luckily for us, David Harbour, who plays local police officer Jim Hopper, has been kind enough to tell TV Guide what can be expected from his character. He says: "Hopper's daughter will be the primary focus of Season Two, but not in the way that you think it will be.
"Hopper's understanding of that relationship and Hopper's understanding of being a father and of being a man grows deeper and deeper in Season Two, and we get a lot of time to explore what that is, but it won't be in the literal way that you think it is. I don't want to tell you any more than that because it's good stuff."

Harbour also told a forum on OnMogul: "He saved Will and has found a renewed interest in life. So his arc for Season Two in my mind becomes more about butting up against the places where his hero fantasy can't take him."
In the first season Harbour clearly still suffered mentally from losing his daughter at such a young age. So it will be interesting to see how much attention is paid to this area as the Hawkins youngsters battle another entity from the Upside Down.
The show's creators, Matt and Ross Duffer, have revealed that they only want to make roughly four seasons before pulling the plug. Matt admitted to Vulture, it's a tough concept to draw out over many seasons: "We just have to keep adjusting the story. Though I don't know if we can justify something bad happening to them once a year."

Ross added: "They're going to have to get the fuck out of this town! It's ridiculous. We're thinking it will be a four-season thing and then out."
But many were devastated when executive producer Shawn Levy confirmed that good ole Barb wasn't coming back in any way, shape or form for the next season. He told The Hollywood Reporter that the fan theories that loveable Barb might still be alive are getting frustrating: "Because you think you want that, but you wouldn't really want that.
"I've had a lot of people, some huge celebrities come up to me at these awards shows, like, 'So, between us, Barb's coming back, right?' I'm like 'No, you saw, she had like a creature, slug, worm, snake, coming out of her mouth. I don't know that there's a bounce back from that!'"
