Italian Student Is The Best Game Of Thrones Lookalike You'll See Today

She hadn't even seen the show when people started calling her 'Khaleesi'

At the minute, just about everyone in the world is talking about the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones. Who is going to survive? Who will sit on the Iron Throne? Are Jaime and Brienne going to just do it already?

Well, talk is cheap. How about actually going as far as to become one of the main characters from the series and really immerse yourself in Westeros?

On an ordinary day, Roberta 'Rory' Pattaro is a student who lives in Torino, in Italy. However, from time to time, she transforms herself into Daenerys Targaryen, Mother of Dragons, Breaker of Chains, Rightful Queen of the Andals and... well, you get the idea.

Anyway, over the years we've seen some fairly dodgy lookalikes. Remember Harry Kane during last summer's World Cup? Dreadful.

Remember the (self-proclaimed, admittedly) Angelina Jolie lookalike? Just bizarre.

Well, Roberta actually looks like who she claims to look like, and she explained to LADbible why she does it.

She's designed and made the costume entirely herself.

She told us: "I've always been a passionate fan of movies and TV series and I've always dreamed about becoming one of the protagonists of my favourite movies.

"I discovered this world in 2016, when a boy who followed me on Facebook told me that I'd make a perfect Daenerys."

First up, that's a pretty cheesy chat up line. Secondly, there was one big issue with it, as Roberta explained: "The problem was I'd not even started to watch Game of Thrones."

Yeah, that'll do it.

However, while this guy might have failed in his chirpsing, he did actually do some good.

Since then, she's started attending events in costume.

Rory continued: "Because I had blonde hair, people would write 'mother of dragons' underneath my pictures.

"Eventually, I decided to watch the TV series. Now it is my favourite show and I decided to create my cosplay."

Because it's 2019 and it's a horrible world out there, you might imagine that she'd get some weird and unusual requests. Luckily - although it's early days - the reaction has been overwhelmingly positive.

Here she is out of costume.

She said: "Luckily, most of my followers are just excited to see my results because they've followed the creation of my hand-made costume all the way. It feels as if they've supported and helped me.

"I have received a few strange requests though. Just a few days ago a man asked me if he could have my face put onto a t-shirt.

"Also, recently I was on the way back from Torino Comics [a local convention] and a boy asked me for a picture in the subway elevator.

"I'd used the subway to get there and really enjoyed seeing everyone's reactions to the 'mother of dragons' just sitting on the underground."

Well, if that's the weirdest of it, then it's going pretty well.

Needless to say, she hopes the 'mother of dragons' takes the Iron Throne.

Thought she has yet to catch the attention of Emilia Clarke - she's not the only one, there - Rory is very pro-Dany in the final fight for the Iron Throne.

She concluded: "I'm very scared. Game of Thrones characters have become very dear to me. Dany in particular. I'm not ready to watch them die. I try not to think about what is going to happen to them, just to enjoy the show as best I can."

Same for us all, mate.

What do you reckon is going to happen? Have you got a cosplay you want to share with the world? Head on over to Game of Thrones: Westeros Posting on Facebook and let us know about it.

Meanwhile, Game of Thrones continues on Sky Atlantic next Monday at 2am and then at 9pm.
