We've had our first look at Joaquin Phoenix's creepy clown transformation for Joker after footage was leaked of the actor playing Arthur Fleck in the Batman spin-off - but now we bring to you the first leaked clip of Phoenix in full supervillain costume. And it's everything.

Phoenix will play Batman's nemesis, with the film providing a backstory to the 'Clown Prince of Crime' set in the early 1980s.

In this new leaked footage we see Phoenix casually stepping off a train at a subway station, with several guys in clown masks standing around the platform.

There's a huge commotion, no doubt due to the main man himself, and in the middle of it all is Phoenix, wearing a clown mask himself over the top of his clown makeup.

And that's when we get a good view of the Joker in all his glory.

The production team seem to have opted for the traditional 'Joker' attire with the suit, waistcoat and slicked back green hair.

The film is directed by Todd Phillips who is loving a good old teaser.

Joker is due to his cinemas in October 2019, and will reportedly be set in the 80s, following the supervillain from his early days as a failed comedian before he turns to a life of crime in Gotham City.

Warner Bros has described it as 'an exploration of a man disregarded by society [that] is not only a gritty character study, but also a broader cautionary tale' and, along with Phoenix in the title role, it will also feature Robert De Niro, Zazie Beetz, Frances Conroy, Brett Cullen, Glenn Fleshler and Marc Maron.

One person who is not going to be in it is Alec Baldwin. He recently dropped out, saying that he was 'no longer doing that movie' and that he'd been asked to play Bruce Wayne's dad but he had not 'been hired to play a role in Todd Phillips' JOKER as some Donald Trump manqué'.

Just to emphasise the point, he added: "That is not happening."
