Do you ever wake up with a big, fat, stonking hangover and feel a little crazier than usual? Maybe not psychopathic assassin but teetering on the edge nonetheless? Well, it looks like a good old hangover did Jodie Comer a favour when she auditioned for the role of Villanelle in Killing Eve.

But this wasn't any bog standard hangover - Jodie Comer was hit with a five-dayer following a holiday to Barcelona. Just when we thought it wasn't possible for her to be even more impressive...

The 26-year-old was at a music festival in the Spanish city before she flew out to Los Angeles to audition for the role that eventually launched her international career.

In an interview with Build Series, the Liverpool actor said: "I was on holiday in Barcelona. I had actually been to a music festival, so I was on a five-day hangover.

"And I was like, 'Right, I've got this 13-hour flight to LA. I've just got to deliver. I don't want to get a 13-hour flight back to Liverpool and be kicking myself'."

Once Comer reached the audition things seemed to get better and better as she got into the swing of things with Grey's Anatomy star, Sandra Oh, who takes on the role of British intelligence investigator Eve Polastri.

She continued: "It was being in the room with Sandra where it all kind of came together. Within five minutes it was just like we trusted each other.

"What I've learned from Killing Eve is to take risks. Find freedom in things."

If you didn't already know, Killing Eve is now available on the BBC iPlayer - each and every episode of the second season as well. Did someone say 'binge watch'?

Around 3.7 million watched the second series opener on BBC One on Saturday night and it's also been requested 864,000 times on the BBC iPlayer.

The box set for series 2 has been requested 2.6 million times since it was released late on Saturday night.

Season one is also on there too if you need a little refresher beforehand, or if you just fancy a Killing Eve mega marathon.

Further good news is that, if you do binge through the whole season, you can comfort yourself in the knowledge that season three has been confirmed will also be aired on BBC, whenever it's ready.
