The Kingsman film series has turned out to be somewhat of a sleeper hit over the years, so fans will no doubt be delighted to know that the long-awaited threequel, Kingsman 3, is reportedly set to start shooting in January 2019.

But the good news doesn't end there - apparently director/producer Matthew Vaughn also wants to shoot the film back-to-back with a planned prequel feature and is planning an eight-hour TV series.

According to Movieweb, Vaughn - who detailed his plans to expand the Kingsman franchise back in June - added to this with the recent announcement of the spinoff show, which he intends to center around the American Statesman introduced in last year's Kingsman: The Golden Circle.

With regards to the threequel, the film will see Taron Egerton return as Gary 'Eggsy' Unwin - the roadman-turned-gentleman-spy and member of the British spy agency The Kingsman.

Vaughn also revealed to That Hash Tag Show that he's been collaborating with Jane Goldman for the script, which will wrap up the narrative between Eggsy and Colin Firth's OG Kingsman Harry Hart and see Channing Tatum return as the US Special Agent.

Two new characters are set to join the team too - a teen named Conrad and an uncast older male lead, though it is rumored the studio is eyeing Brit actor Ralph Fiennes for the role.

Conrad is described as a young, cocky and charming son of a British Duke who is eager to find a way to serve his country.

The third installment to the Kingsman films comes off the back of the success of the first two, Kingsman: The Secret Service and Kingsman: The Golden Circle, which have grossed over $823 million collectively worldwide.

Regarding the planned prequel film, Vaughn's already got a title - Kingsman: The Great Game - with the story set to look back at the organisation in the early 20th century.

While these are all just pipeline plans right now, with two successful movies under his belt, a definite third on the way, and plenty of plans ahead, it looks like Vaughn's only scratched the surface of the Kingsman universe.
