Lawrence From 'School Of Rock' Is An Actual Real Life Genius

"You're a fat loser and you have body odour" is one of the greatest lines in cinema

Remember the film School of Rock? Of course you do, it's a classic. In the film, Jack Black takes a group of young school children and turns them into real rock stars before they perform at a 'Battle of the Bands' contest.

The kids start off not understanding what it takes to be rockers, but through the tutelage of Mr Schneebly - who [Spoiler Alert] wasn't really Mr Schneebly at all - they learn their craft.

Well, since the film was released back in 2003, many of the stars have gone on to become musicians, actors, and pursue some of the dreams that their characters in the film did.

In fact, Miranda Cosgrove, who played the manager of the band, Summer, went on to star in Nickelodeon's iCarly and also has a singing career. The band's drummer, Freddie, - played in the film by Kevin Clark - still plays in a successful band, as well.

Lawrence or 'Mr Cool', the keyboard player, has gone on to have an interesting life too.

Robert Tsai played Lawrence in the film, and he was a slightly nerdy, quiet kid, rather than an extroverted rock keyboard player. His character was supposed to be a bit of a genius, and it looks as if that is mirrored in his real life.

It turns out that he actually went on to become a quite amazing classical pianist. There are videos on YouTube of him playing incredibly difficult pieces by composers such as Beethoven and Grieg.

He has also gone on to attend Dartmouth College, one of the most exclusive and most reputable universities in the United States of America.

Dartmouth is one of eight 'Ivy League' universities that are known for their selective admission and high academic standards. Basically, if you aren't really smart or filthy rich, you aren't getting in.

Notable alumni of Robert's college include Nobel laureates, Pulitzer prize winners, and high-ranking government officials.

Anyway, Robert has still retained his love for music, and regularly organises musical productions as well as his classical concerts.

Whether or not he still plays 'Touch Me' by The Doors is anyone's guess.

As for the rest of them, 'Zack Attack' is a professional guitarist, the bass player - Katie - is also in a band, called Sweet Revenge, and Jack Black, obviously, is in Tenacious D.

He also claims there is a new Tenacious D film coming out later this year, so watch this space.
