There's some good news for anyone worried that this Sunday's final episode of Louis Theroux's Dark States would be the last we would see of the king of documentaries for a while: he's got another doc coming out later this month.

On 29 October, BBC 2 will broadcast Louis Theroux: Talking To Anorexia.

The BBC explains that: "Anorexia, the pathological fear of eating and gaining weight, is now the most deadly mental illness in the UK, affecting around one in every 250 women at some point in their lives.

"In recent years, the number of people being admitted to hospital because of their condition has risen dramatically. With many struggling to make a full recovery, being diagnosed with the eating disorder can sometimes mean a life-long battle."

This film sees the 47-year-old filmmaker embedding himself in two of London's biggest adult eating-disorder treatment facilities: St Ann's Hospital and Vincent Square Clinic, meeting women at various stages of their illness.

The BBC adds that: "As [Louis] spends more time with patients he witnesses the dangerous power that anorexia holds over them, leaving some unsure about whether recovery is achievable or even wanted. And as Louis seeks to understand what lies behind this mysterious illness, he finds himself drawn into a complex relationship between the disorder and the person it inhabits."

Eating disorders are an important issue, and one that effects men as well as women, and it'll be interesting to see what he makes of the subject matter, as he seems to bring warmth and humour to whatever he tackles.

His latest documentary Trafficking Sex showed him coming face-to-face with a former pimp.

Shederick Smith is currently serving a 42 year sentence at a prison and viewers described the moment Louis greeted him with a fist bump as the most 'awkward' and 'British' TV moment they had seen in quite a while.

The third and final part of the series is due to air next week, called Murder in Milwaukee. It will see the filmmaker spending time with the Milwaukee Police Department as they patrol District 5, a place with a homicide rate over 12 times the national average.
