Louis Theroux Strips Off At 'Sensual Eating Party' For New Documentary

Theroux stripped off and he was fed by topless women - what did his wife make of the entire thing?

Louis Theroux has given us some insight into what it was like when he tested the waters of a polyamorous lifestyle.

And because he's the kinda guy that likes to put his all into a situation, he decided to commit fully to his latest investigation by undressing - well, to the waist (let's not get carried away now, shall we).

In his new BBC documentary - which looks at 'crossing the lines between life, love and death' - Louis dabbles in multi-partner relationships and experiences a phenomenon called 'sensual eating'.

Speaking about the experience, he explained how he was blindfolded, stroked by topless women and watched on as people were 'spasming in ecstasy'.

The married father-of-three felt like getting involved would 'show commitment and be respectful to the others' - oh come on, curiosity gets the better of us all, Louis.

He told the Evening Standard: "Everyone else was going way further than I was. There were people kind of spasming in ecstasy.

"It was all rather embarrassing, but at the same time a little bit liberating.

BBC

"There was a lot of nipple tweaking and one woman went round squirting whipped cream on her breasts and feeding the whipped cream to various people.

"That was one of those images you'll have in your head for ever."

Louis spoke about his wife, filmmaker Nancy Strang, and how she was 'understanding and cool' about her hubby experiencing the sensual eating. She's a very patient woman, evidently.

He continued: "She's not the sort of person to get insecure and in a flap about something like that."

It seems Louis himself is pretty mortified about the entire thing, however, especially due to the fact that his mother-in-law is going to be tuning in...

He told The One Show: "I try and get involved. This is the bit I find it difficult to watch and even thinking about it is embarrassing. Sensual eating - it was very awkward. I couldn't see I had those blinkers on.

"Topless women - I can't believe my mother-in-law's going to be watching this and freaking out. Topless women came and fed me strawberries and cream and then were sort of smearing it on my face." Nice.

The event took place in Portland, Oregon, which is dubbed the US capital of polyamory. Partygoers were blindfolded - they're known as the 'takers' - while others would feed, touch and rub them with a body part of their choosing.

This just sounds like my usual Sunday evening. Only joking, mum.

The documentary, called Love Without Limits, is part of Louis' new Altered States series which will explore how today's America deals with birth, love and death.
