For most brides-to-be, their wedding day is one of the biggest and most important days of their lives. Months of saving, shopping, planning and stressing are involved in making sure the big day is perfect.

For others, it's just a case of going 'fuck it' and handing over the planning and budgeting to their partners on reality show Don't Tell The Bride.

If you're not familiar with the show, the bride passes the wedding reins to her groom who has to organise the whole thing: venue, dress, food, flowers, suits, 50 pigs...

Yeah, fifty pigs.

Twenty-seven-year old Billy Grieves appeared on the show with his partner Steph, 23, who for some reason thought he would be able to pull together the perfect, traditional countryside wedding she had always dreamed of.

But joker Billy went a bit off-piste when he decided on a pig themed wedding, including hiring 50 little porkers to try and attempt a world record pig parade. There was a pig cake, the bridesmaids wore pig onesies and pig balloons were placed on the tables.

There was a method in his madness, though, because Steph's nickname is 'Little Piggy', you see. So the pig theme was sort of romantic, wasn't it? Sadly for Billy, Little Piggy did not see the romance.

Arriving at the venue she said: "I think this is a joke. I don't want pigs at my wedding, it's gone to the extremes. I just want this over with."

She added: "This is a joke. I didn't want a themed wedding, I wanted a nice wedding. I'm so mad now I don't want to go to the wedding. I'm fuming."

The Guinness World Record attempt was also a let-down, as the pigs refused to listen to Billy and the adjudicator had to tell him he wasn't going to be record holder after all.

For some reason, perhaps love or the fact the camera crew were there, Steph said 'I do', and she and Billy were hitched.

So all's well that ends well, eh?
