Anyone who appears on Channel 4 reality show Married at First Sight - where couples are paired together by experts and are wed on their very first meeting - must be making arguably the biggest gamble of their life.
Being partnered up with a complete stranger has obvious drawbacks, as one guy on the Australian version of the show found out when he saw his bride walking down the aisle and, on realising his disappointment, simply muttered 'Oh shit'.
But on the flipside, that gamble could in theory work in someone's favour, as one woman recently learnt when she was coupled with a millionaire.
Ben had been single for eight months before the big day, having spent the last five years building a family home. Living alone in his mansion while driving a flash car and enjoying a £20,000 ($28,000) suit collection, he realised the only thing missing in his life was a partner.

Ben said: "I've done well for myself. I've got everything but what's the point in having everything if you can't share it with someone?"
He was so hell-bent on a successful marriage then he had a tattoo of the wedding date on his wrist, saying: "I'm that committed to this relationship that I ended up getting a tattoo of mine and Stephanie's wedding date. I wear my heart on my sleeve and that is how committed I am."
The second he clocked his bride-to-be, his jaw dropped and he mouthed 'Oh my God' as she walked towards him. Stephanie seemed equally as thrilled, and even threw in a bit of early banter by taking the piss out of his mock snakeskin shoes.
The union seems to be an initial hit, though the rest of the series will reveal how the relationship has progressed. We already know that it might not be completely plain sailng, as Ben's dad Graham admitted he didn't want his son to go through with the marriage.

Graham said: "You might match scientifically but what does that prove? I think you're making a little bit of a mistake.
"I don't think it's right, what you're doing - I'm going to stand by that."
The couple also appeared on This Morning not wearing their wedding rings, which led to viewers speculating that they had split.
But Stephanie wasn't giving anything away, saying: "All I am saying is you're just going to have to tune in and watch the show."
