Unless you've been off-grid for the past year, you'll know that Avengers: Endgame is set to hit the theatres next year and to say that the Marvel fandom are hyped would be an understatement.

That hype train took a new turn this Friday when the MCU bosses put us out of our misery by releasing the long-awaited trailer and title for the blockbuster hit, which will see the much loved superheroes picking up the pieces of Thanos' Avengers: Infinity War finger snap massacre.

With fans hard at work speculating what the images in the trailer mean with regards to the plot, there's a particular focus on Tony Stark, who's seen talking to his damaged Iron Man helmet and recording a message for Pepper Potts back on Earth - who is most likely worried sick about him.

He says: "Dear Miss Potts, if you find this recording don't feel bad about this, part of the journey is the end. Just for the record being adrift in space with zero promise of rescue is more fun than it sounds.

"Food and water ran out four days ago, oxygen will run out tomorrow morning and I mean it, when I drift off I will dream about you, it's always you."

Things aren't looking great for Starky right now and the emotional scene has led a number of fans turning to none other than NASA for help.

Taking to Twitter, users are calling on the space agency to help rescue Stark from oblivion before it's too late. One wrote, "@NASA please send a rescue team for Tony Stark. my boi is dying out there," while another commented, "dear @NASA, PLEASE please find Tony Stark that poor guy is floating somewhere up in space and is running out of oxygen. WE NEED YOUR HELP."

So don't worry, Tony - the MCU fandom's got your back. And if you can't depend on NASA, perhaps Elon Musk will be the one to retrieve the fallen warrior.

Or maybe the Indian Space Research Organisation? Come on people, Stark needs you!

April 26 can't come soon enough. Until then, we'll continue praying for Iron Man's fate. And you never know - maybe Paul Rudd will save the day after all.
