Keanu Reeves, Slaven Bilić, Chris Jericho... there are plenty of celebrities out there who've also played in bands, moonlighting as rock stars on their days off.

Up until now, Neil Buchanan's heavy metal group, Marseille, was probably your personal favourite example, but that could be about to change.

You all ready for this, Game of Thrones fans? Turns out Peter Dinklage, who is known for his role as Tyrion Lannister, used to be in a punk/rap/funk band called Whizzy.

"I was pretty angry back then," Dinklage says of his time in the group, according to NME. Sounds about right, looking at the handful of images of the band's live performances that have now emerged.

Based in New York, Whizzy were around in the early 90s - Dinklage was co-frontman of the band and occasionally played the cornet, although sadly there's no video evidence available to prove his musical prowess. It's reported that they played a fusion of funk, rap and funk, so I guess we'll just have to imagine what that sounds like.

He's not the only musical member of the GoT family either. Kristofer Hivju, who plays Tormund in GOT, has been entertaining us all lately with a series of musical posts on his Instagram account.

In the clips we can see Jorah (Iain Glen), Beric (Richard Dormer), the Hound (Rory McCann), and himself - calling themselves The Brotherhood Without Banjos - jamming away on set, in between scenes.

Oh, and what's that? You didn't know about Neil Buchanan's heavy metal days? Well, don't say we never give you anything...

You may remember Liverpool-born Buchanan for his lengthy stint presenting beloved children's TV staple Art Attack between 1990-2007. Before his days with pens and paint, however, he was part of the 'New Wave of British Heavy Metal', which largely involved an awful lot of denim, leather and pints of warm bitter.

Marseille formed in 1976, with Buchanan on guitar, and released three albums before splitting up in 1984. After Art Attack finished, the band reformed and released a fourth album - aptly entitled Unfinished Business - in 2010.

Time for a Whizzy/Marseille double-headline tour, perhaps...?
