There have been hundreds of zombie apocalypse movies and TV shows that have wowed us over the years.
Some make us laugh like Shaun of the Dead and Zombieland, while others make us cower behind our hands like 28 Days Later and World War Z.
Well it looks like there's a new TV series to add to that latter category.
Netflix's new series Black Summer certainly looks like it'll give other zombie shows like The Walking Dead a run for its money.
While that classic AMC series showed the world in a post-apocalyptic state with zombies walking around the place, Black Summer will show us what it would be like in the early days of such an outbreak.
The panic. The confusion. The limited information. The military patrols. The family separation.
In fact, the show will focus on that last point: Jamie King plays Rose, a mum who gets separated from her daughter as the zombie outbreak takes hold. Rose bands together with a group of people to try and find her daughter.
The trailer certainly looks incredible; there's definitely going to be some jump scares that will send you over the couch.
The creator has already worked on a zombie series before, Z Nation, which was definitely in the comedy category of the genre. Karl Schaefer says that Black Summer won't be anything like that and will focus more on the 'old school' type of zombie horror, even though it's technically a spin-off of Z Nation.
Jodi Binstock is one of the producers for the series, she's told Mandy: "Black Summer is referred to in Z Nation as the summer where everything went to hell, so that is where Black Summer picks up.
"This show is not tongue-in-cheek, it's very, very serious: it's as if the zombie apocalypse really happened in 2018 and explores what that would be for all of us. It's a very unique style that I think people will really respond to.
"It's only told from the point of view of the characters - we don't learn anything that the characters don't and it's fantastically shot. The dynamics of the way that they have crafted the storytelling is very cinematic and I think people will really respond to it."
The first season, consisting of eight episodes will premiere on Netflix on April 11. Make sure you're not holding the popcorn through this as it could easily end up everywhere.
