Netflix has released the trailer for yet another tense thriller where the main characters are tasked with making as little noise as possible in order to survive.

The Scilence is based on the novel by Tim Lebbon and the chilling movie is set in a world where creatures hunt their prey using sound - yes, much like they do in 2018 hit horror A Quiet Place.

The family is forced to seek refuge in a remote location - Bird Box, anyone? - but when they arrive they find a sinister cult who wants to take advantage of their daughter's increased senses.

Starring The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina's Kiernan Shipka along with Stanley Tucci, Miranda Otto, John Corbett, Kate Trotter and Kyle Breitkopt, the trailer looks set to give even the classic cult horrors a run for their money.

The synopsis reads: "When the world is under attack from terrifying creatures who hunt their human prey by sound, 16-year old Ally Andrews (Kiernan Shipka), who lost her hearing at 13, and her family seeks refuge in a remote haven.

"But they discover a sinister cult who are eager to exploit Ally's heightened senses. The Silence is directed by John R. Leonetti (Annebelle) and stars Stanley Tucci, Kiernan Shipka, Miranda Otto, John Corbett, Kate Trotter and Kyle Breitkopf."

The tense thriller hits screens next month.

Speaking of his new role, Tucci told IGN: "I've done sci-fi movies like Transformers, but I've never done anything quite like this."

The Silence is set to land on Netflix on 10 April.

The film follows a family as they battle for survival.

If all that sounds a bit too heavy, fear not - as fresh off the back of the success of the Queen biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody, Netflix has released metal biopic The Dirt which looks at the rock band MötleyCrüe and is based on the book titled The Dirt: Confessions of the World's Most Notorious Rock Band.

It looks at how Frank Carlton Feranna Jr, the co-founder and main songwriter for the band who changed his name to Nikki Sixx, and how he links up with Tommy Lee, Mick Mars and Vince Neil.

One of the scenes that's certainly getting a lot of people talking is when the band have a chat with Ozzy Osbourne, who explains that there's a limit to how much you can party.

Obviously telling that to a metal band in the 80s would be like telling a kid not to eat the sweets that are right in front of them because it would be unhealthy.
