It's been two years since fans of The Conjuring were gifted with the second instalment of the spooky horror franchise. Thankfully though, we've been treated to Annabelle: Creation, which also exists in the same universe as the Warren family.
But you'd better be ready to strap yourselves in for another wild ride as Warner Bros. says a new film will be added to the scary series on 3 July next year.
There've been no other details released about this new project except for the release date. Naturally, people reckon that this could finally be the third chapter to the Conjuring story however it could also be The Crooked Man spin off.
It's taken a while for The Conjuring 3 to get off the ground as it's been difficult to juggle that project with The Nun, which will be released on September 7 this year, along with Annabelle: Creation and short film The Nurse.
James Wan, the director of the two films involving Ed and Lorraine Warren, told Entertainment Weekly: "We've been working hard on Conjuring 3. Of course, that is something that I am not neglecting. The Conjuring films are still the mothership and the mothership needs to be strong.

"The mothership needs to be strong for all these other jet fighters to shoot out of.
"So, we're in the midst of working on the script, and still hashing [it] out. We want to make sure that the script is in a really good place. With how much people have loved the first two Conjuring [films], I don't want to rush in to the third one if possible."
Regardless of whatever form and storyline this new project takes, it'll be music to fan's ears as it will take audiences deeper into the creepy AF Conjuring universe.
If you're a die-hard follower of The Crooked Man's escapades, rest assured, James Wan is prepping something seriously juicy for us.
"I would love to push it more down somewhat of that dark fairy-tale, and more whimsical, subgenre," he told EW. "I love the idea that, within the Conjuring universe, each of our little movies all have their own flavour, so that way they don't feel like they're the same films."
Until more details get released about this 'third' film we'll just have to get ourselves ready for The Nun, featuring the 'Demon Nun' character Valak from The Conjuring 2.
It's not like we need sleep anyway.
