Hands up if you're one of the many, many people who've binge-watched into oblivion, and have now run out of everything that the streaming services have to throw at you. Yep, all guilty, the lot of us.

Thankfully, the TV gods are continuing to feed our insatiable hunger for entertainment with a new series, which looks bloody good.

Counterpart recently aired in the US on Starz, when it became a fast, firm favourite among viewers. It's even already got itself a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, which is a good sign if ever there was one.

The sci-fi thriller series stars J.K. Simmons (you know, the one from pretty much everything, including Whiplash, the Spider-Man trilogy and Juno) as Howard Milk, who discovers the Berlin-based United Nations spy agency he works for is guarding a huge, huge secret - a crossing to a parallel dimension.

That's it, we're already hooked.

It's even been endorsed on Twitter by none other than Stephen King, who says it's 'terrific'.

If the King of Horror thinks it's a go-er, then it must be good.

The show also features Olivia Williams (The Sixth Sense, Rushmore, Hanna) as Howard's wife, Emily, Harry Lloyd (who you'll know as Viserys Targaryen from Game of Thrones) as agency director Peter Quayle and Italian actress Sara Serraiocco as a mysterious assassin called Baldwin.

The 28 glowing reviews on Rotten Tomatoes show it's a big thumbs up, with IndieWire's Ben Travers saying it 'feels like a series that's here to stay'.

Matthew Gilbert from the Boston Globe wrote: "Throughout all the setup of this riven world, imagined by show creator Justin Marks, Simmons shines. His performance as both Howards is endlessly entertaining, and it kept me engaged in the story even when I wasn't certain exactly what was happening.
