Well, it's back. The epitome of trash TV. The I-love-to-hate-it-and-hate-to-love-it program. The funding for Simon Cowell's Botox. It is of course X Factor.
This year's contest premiered this evening on ITV, as hundreds of hopefuls were given the opportunity to showcase their ability in front of Simon Cowell, Nicole Scherzinger, Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne.
It was the same old, really. A few good singers, a few attention seekers, a few cringey segments and, of course, the God awful.

36-year-old personal trainer Jo-Anne Mason sticks out like a sore thumb from the episode, as she tried very hard to perform the worst rendition of Sinead O'Connor's 'Nothing Compares 2U'. And she was very successful...

The Scouser even forgot the words to the hit, meaning former Pussy Cat Doll Nicole had to jump in and save her.

Louis Walsh, a man with no obvious talents, even said that is was something out of a horror movie. It ended up being four no's for poor old Jo-Anne.
"I do lead a really healthy lifestyle," she said. "I first started singing when I was about three or four. I'm definitely match fit for today's performance."
She then added: "I definitely think I could win win it. It's now or never, this is my time," blissfully unaware that she's actually awful at singing.
Probably best if you stick to being a personal trainer, Jo-Anne.
