Movies and TV shows are meant to elicit an emotional response from the audience. Why would people watch them unless they felt something during it?

Some experience happiness, sadness, fear or any other of the emotions that are available. But few manage to evoke sheer adrenaline like the Red Bull documentary on Netflix called The Dawn Wall.

The documentary focuses on Tommy Caldwell, a world famous rock climber who managed to scale the Dawn Wall in Yosemite National Park, California with his mate Kevin Jorgeson.

It has left some viewers sweating up a storm while they watch the pair climb the 3,000ft cliff.

One person wrote on social media: "Yo watching The Dawn Wall is giving me the heebie geebies. I don't even like standing on a step stool and these guys are trying to climb a 3000' vertical rock. No thank you."

Another added: "I have watched about 27 seconds of The Dawn Wall and I am already anxious about what lies ahead."

You have to endure Tommy and Kevin stretch their bodies across a seemingly unscaleable cliff face and fall constantly.

Thankfully they're held up by ropes but it still doesn't stop you from flinching every time they slip.

Viewers don't even have to be into climbing to enjoy the documentary as it plays on the idea of perseverance, mateship and making the impossible possible.
