What do you do when you're faced with the knowledge that there is a 'ghost' in the same room? Sitting right opposite you actually. While you're interviewing it's human-form fiancée - struggling to keep up? So are we.
However, if you're Phillip Schofield and the opportunity arises, you grab it with both hands and ask that 'ghost' a question or two...
Which is exactly what Schofield did when Amethyst Realm, otherwise known as 'the gift that keeps on giving', pronounced that her boyfriend was sat right next to her live on This Morning.

When Phillip asked whether he has a name, Amethyst answered: "My good friend actually came up with a name for him, I've got a rare photo in which he reveals himself next to me as a ray of light. So we came up with the name Ray."
To everyone's surprise, Phillip jumped into action, most probably with a producer shouting down his ear.
"Well, Ray it's a pleasure to meet you," he began: "Obviously we couldn't do a research chat with Ray, not able to ask him any... can I ask him a question?"
Amethyst, a spiritual counsellor, apprehensively told Phillip to try and quiz Ray to which he replied (Phillip, not Ray): "What was it about Amethyst that made you fall in love, Ray?"

The 30-year-old woman responded: "He just said our connection, as soon as we met, we kind of just felt a connection there - it was really strong."
And everyone kept a straight face - how did this happen?!
Fans weren't able to follow suit though, one commented: "I'm howling. No way did the camera pan onto the empty space next to her on the sofa."
Another added: "Philip 'interviewing' a ghost is just the best thing yet. That woman still cracks me up."

And a third said: "Phillip Schofield just interviewed a cushion on #ThisMorning and I didn't know how empty my life was until this moment."
Amethyst ditched men to have sex with ghosts... then she met one in Australia - if you're going to fall for any ghost it might as well be an Australian one... right?
Then, if things weren't weird enough she then joined a 'Mile High Club' like no other when she claimed the pair had sex on a flight back from Australia.

Now her phantom fella, Ray, has got down on one knee - well, there were no knees involved because he doesn't have any. But he has proposed to her.
In a segment on the morning programme, they decided to revisit the most haunted guests and Amethyst is a bit of a no brainer.
Describing her relationship with Ray, she proudly declared: "As of last weekend I am engaged to be married to one."
As the majority of us would find out crucial bits about our partner's past - whether they've been in trouble with the law, are they a serial cheat, do they have three kids and a wife somewhere - Amethyst explained that she knows nothing about Ray.

"I don't know much about his past, it feels like he's very ancient, very wise, been around for a long time." So she's going out with an old, shrivelled up OAP ghost, then? Whatever tickles your fancy.
Well, we for one don't judge around here and wish Amethyst and Ray all the best.
