To some, this news will be music to your ears. For others it will mean their morning of guaranteed entertainment has gone. It's over guys. Well, for three weeks at least.
That's right, Piers Morgan is taking a break from Good Morning Britain to jet off to America and yesterday morning's show was his last with co-host Susanna Reid. So this will be some sort of a holiday for her as well, y'know, minus the beach, sea and sun anyway.

Piers, 53, announced that he's off to Beverly Hills to have a little 'palm tree action' sounds weird but, ok...
Presenter Richard Arnold made a joke about the lighting staff being able to take a break to which Piers explained: "I'm then going to LA to my Beverly Hills house for about four of five days just to acclimatise to American time.
"Then I'm going to Houston, Texas, to interview a psychopath. Then I'm going to New York to interview another psychopath. Then I'm going back to LA to vendez-vous with you to do the Oscars where there are about a thousand psychopaths.

"Then I will slowly worm my way back to this country for the start of March."
Well, worming is one way of putting it...
It seems many are delighted by the news of his departure, as one person wrote: "He will be missed like a STD! #goodmorningbritain #goodbye" - it seems this guy thinks he's gone for good. Oh how disappointed he will be.

Another added: "Good Morning Britain is so much better when @piersmorgan is off".
A third commented in disagreement, saying: "Looks like im the only one who'll miss him."
Someone else posted: "Good, about time, I actually ,may start watching this side again!"
Ben Shephard stood in for Piers this morning alongside Susanna Reid, Kate Garraway and Laura Tobin to which people couldn't stop discussing Mr Morgan.

One replied to a picture posted by Ben saying: "Love a Thursday and Friday No Piers no arguments and I can actually hear the conversations with the guests! Bring @benshephard on everyday that's what I say!"
Well there we go, it looks like ITV are giving the people what they want. Or more like Piers has decided he's taking a holiday and will be back with a vengeance - only time will tell.
