With less than a week to go to the big day, the Russo brothers have revealed that Robert Downey Jr. is the only cast member to have been entrusted with the entire Avengers: Endgame script.

That's because with great power comes great responsibility - so really it should be Tom Holland who was given it.

But the famous directing duo said that Iron Man was 'probably the only one' trusted enough 'to actually read the entire script'.

Joe and Anthony also suggested that Chris Evans might have got through it, but Benedict Cumberbatch was given a copy with only his scenes. Meanwhile our mate Spidey, aka Tom Holland, wasn't even given his own copy.

The brothers said their reason for doing this was to help ease the pressure on the cast.

Speaking to Rotten Tomatoes, they said: "Part of our motivation to do that is it just takes a lot of pressure off of people because it is hard to constantly censor yourself about what you're saying, how you talk.

"These movies are your whole life. It's everything you're doing all day long. The inclination is to talk about it. So, we take a lot of pressure off of people by just saying: 'OK, the less you know, the less you have to mind yourself'."

It's understandable that after investing so much time and money into a project you wouldn't want it to be ruined by loose lips. Which explains why the Russo brothers themselves penned a letter to fans earlier this week, pleading with them not to spoil the film for other Marvel-lovers.

The letter read: "To the greatest fans in the world,

"This is it. This is the end. The end of an unprecedented narrative mosaic spanning eleven years and eleven franchises.

"For all of you who have been on this journey with us since the very beginning, sharing every high and low with your family, your friends, your classmates, your co-workers. Investing so deeply in every character and storyline. Laughing. Cheering Shedding tears.

"Giving so freely of your thoughts and emotions in spirited dialogue, theories, fan art, and fan fiction. Please know that the two of us, along with everyone involved in Endgame, have worked tirelessly for the last three years with the sole intention of delivering a surprising and emotionally powerful conclusion to the Infinity Saga."

It continues: "Because so many of you have invested your time, your hearts, and your souls into these stories, we're once again asking for your help.

"When you see Endgame in the coming weeks, please don't spoil it for other, the same way you wouldn't want it spoiled for you.

"Remember, Thanos still demands your silence. As always, good luck and happy viewing..."
