Fans still have a few more days to wait until Venom hits the big screen, but it's already been revealed that the movie has not one, but two end credit scenes to look forward to. Exciting stuff.

While the specific details of the credit scenes can't be revealed just yet (we all hate spoilers, don't we?) the first one is set to give several big hints as to what the movie's sequel could be about, while the other isn't directly Venom-related, but is going to be pretty interesting to Marvel fans.

Of course, it's not really news that Venom is getting itself at least one sequel, with Tom Hardy revealing to Total Film: "I'm open to whatever you want to do with it.

"We've signed up for three of them. So, it's very much an open case. We'll see what people's responses are to it."

He went on to say: "I think it's an awesome character. I love playing both of them.

"It's an amuse-bouche, and for Sony, it's the Venom-verse launched in isolation, as it were."

The highly-anticipated film is part of Sony's own Marvel Universe, different from the Marvel Cinematic Universe - which includes the Avengers, Doctor Strange, Guardians of the Galaxy and Black Panther.

It will see Hardy taking on the role of Eddie Brock, a journalist investigating shadowy businessman, Carlton Drake.

Brock becomes infected by a symbiote - an alien parasite - and becomes Venom.

So far, the trailers have left fans desperate to find out how the story pans out and how a Spider-Man spin-off without Spider-Man will work.

Speaking at Diego Comic-Con earlier this year, Hardy revealed it was his son's love of Venom that encouraged him to take the part.

"First and foremost I'm a dad," he said. "And so one of the things you come across as a father often is a massive influx of stories often brought to you after Fireman Sam.

"My son came to me with a specific character that he absolutely fell in love with and then I started to take a look at it myself and then, as if by magic, a script appeared on the horizon which was awesome.

"Having done Dark Knight [Rises] with Chris [Christopher Nolan], I'd kind of done my superhero bit in some respects.

"But when I was presented with the opportunity to play Venom, and that correlated with my son's love for Venom and how cool he was, I got really, really excited and decided that I really wanted to do it."

Venom is out on 5 October.
