'Shallow' From A Star Is Born Wins Golden Globe For Best Song

The Lady Gaga x Bradley Cooper song 'Shallow' from A Star Is Born has won a Golden Globe for Best Original Song.

It beat the likes of 'All the Stars' from Black Panther, 'Girl in the Movies' from Dumplin', 'Requiem for a Private War' A Private War and 'Revelation' from Boy Erased.

The incredible musical drama, starring Cooper and Gaga has been nominated for five gongs at the glitzy awards ceremony in LA, including best actor, actress, best picture and director, however they all went to other nominees.

Producer Mark Ronson accepted the award with the some of the cast on stage, telling the audience, but mainly Lady Gaga: "The genius comes from you."

Gaga added: "As a woman in music it is really hard to be taken seriously as a musician and songwriter. These three men lifted me up."

She was also nominated for Best Actress, however that went to Glenn Close for her role in The Wife.

A Star is Born was tipped to be one of the big winners at tonight's ceremony however it was beaten by Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody for two of the biggest awards, Best Picture and Best Actor, which went to Rami Malek.

The 37-year-old LA-born actor closed out his speech by dedicating his award to the man he played on screen, saying: "Thank you to Freddie Mercury for giving me the joy of a lifetime. I love you, you beautiful man. This is for and because of you, gorgeous."

Malek also paid tribute to the other members of Queen, guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor, who he sat with for the glitzy ceremony. He thanked them 'for ensuring that authenticity and inclusivity exists in music and in the world and all of us'.

Other big winners from the ceremony include Olivia Colman, who thanked her 'bitches' aka her co-stars Emma Stone and and Rachel Weisz as she accepted her award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy for The Favourite, and Christian Bale, who nabbed the award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture (Musical or Comedy), thanks to his turn as Dick Cheney in Vice.
