This year's edition of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! is only a few days old, but it has already raised quite a few interesting and important social topics. Now, some people online are complaining about what they see as casual homophobia against contestant John Barrowman.

After John Barrowman was chosen to do last night's Bushtucker Trial, some people aren't happy with how Declan Donnelly was reacting to him.

We get it, John Barrowman is quite flamboyant, but does Dec really have to say "fabulous!" after everything he does?

Some folk online aren't having it.

One Twitter user said: "Dec's "fabuulouuuuuss!!" jokes about John Barrowman are lowkey homophobic and i'm really not enjoying them #imaceleb"

Twitter

A third said: "Dec - please stop saying fabulous like that! It's a gay stereotype & it sounds like you are making fun of John & comparing him to a stereotype! Just because people are gay it doesn't make them a stereotype. It is offensive. He said it one time & possibly as a joke! TY."

You see, it's not necessarily 'lowkey homophobic' - of course, we can be pretty sure that Dec isn't actually homophobic.

It is annoying though. That's for sure.

"Getting right on my tits," seems like a more fair and reasonable response to accusing him of outright discrimination.

Just the other day, a real issue was raised when it was revealed that Anne Hegarty - from The Chase - has Asperger's' Syndrome.

Anne broke down following a challenge that didn't go too well and suffered a backlash on social media as a result.

However, some people leapt to her defence, pointing out that certain tasks can be more difficult for people who suffer from Asperger's.

Fellow Chaser Jenny Ryan said: "Anne has Asperger's Syndrome which has a positive benefit on her quizzing ability but also means that a lot of things that us Neurotypicals don't think twice about are incredibly difficult and stressful for her.

"It's so much more of a challenge for the Governess than you presume."
