Sony Pictures Accidentally Upload Entire Film To YouTube Instead Of Trailer

Sony Pictures uploaded the entire 89 minutes of ‘Khali the Killer’ instead of the actual trailer

What must be the scariest thing to be tasked with when you're part of a movie production team? Probably adhering to the demands of the rich and famous, yes, but the next worst thing would be having the power to press 'publish'.

Dun, dun, dunnnnn.

And just this morning Sony Pictures proved why being in charge of that swift click of a button would be terrifying - as someone attempted to publish the one minute 40 second trailer for forthcoming movie Khali the Killer, and accidentally sent the entire film into the world instead. Awkward.

I mean, we've all complained when a trailer spoiled the best bit in a film (especially when it's the only good part). Well, Sony really topped that and left nothing to the imagination when they published the entire 89-minute movie.

It was titled 'Khali the Killer: Official Red Band Trailer' on YouTube and was obviously intended to offer fans a snapshot of Jon Matthews' crime drama, which was filmed in 2016.

What's pretty damn shocking is that Sony took over six hours to remove the film, as it clocked over 11,000 views.

According to the Independent, some people believe that the upload was intended as a marketing ploy and the MailOnline reported that the grisly flick is thought to be opening in a few US theatres in August. It's already been released on DVD and Blue-ray in the Netherlands.

The film follows East L.A hitman Khali who, after deciding to retire, decides to take one last job to pay for his dying grandmother's care.

So we can expect a cheery comedy romp in the vein of Happy Gilmore then, obviously.

However, he previously cold-hearted killer starts to develop empathy for the targets of his final hit, and he is forced into making the hardest decision of his life. Oh, ok, starting to sound a lot less like the Adam Sandler film now, isn't it?

It's been taken down now, but if you're pretty pissed that you missed this one, don't worry too much because Khali the Killer had some pretty terrible reviews, with a score of 3.5/10 on movie database IMDB.

One reviewer said: "He's a hit-man. He's suppose to be a culinary master, but his kitchen is empty. He's suppose to be Latino, but he doesn't speak Spanish.

"Terribly written and with a fake 70's style that is grating and laughable. Obviously written and directed by someone who doesn't know anything about Latinos. Pathetic."

On the other hand this fan said: "Overall, a great cast and the talented directing demonstrated by Jon Matthews in Khali the Killer makes it a must-see movie."

Looks like you're going to have to watch it to make your own mind up. Just not via Sony's YouTube channel...
