We get it, some people like the dickheads in TV shows and films.

Someone people think of the main protagonists, often portrayed as pure, good people, as a bit too 'mainstream', and so instead gun for the bad guys.

In this case a certain Twitter user jumped to the defence of Littlefinger during the final episode of the seventh season of Game of Thrones.

Despite finally getting what he deserved, having his throat violently slashed, one person seemed to think it was pointless.

Twitter user Hanna Loren wrote: "He wanted justice on the society for his humiliation, they looked down on him out of his poor background. He never hurt sansa [sic]."

Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark, not willing to let her character be made out to be the bad person in the situation, put down Hanna with authority.

She wrote: "Nah.. just willingly sold her to the Boltons.... Who killer her family... who ended up torturing her.... but ur right.. no harm done [sic]."

Despite being served by the actress, Hanna continued, adding: "Reminder: Petyr Baelish gave back Winterfell to the Starks. He killed Joffrey. He saved Sansa and Jon. He won the battle of bastartds [sic]."

So of course, Sophie went back for seconds...

She added: "Because Sansa asked him to (and agreed because he loves her).... because he owed her.... for selling her to the boltons.... need I say more?"

So, lesson learnt, really - don't mess with Sophie Turner on Twitter.
