There's only so much that can be done with the zombie movie genre. How many times can we watch half-dead people with blood spurting from their mouths chase after frightened fully-alive people?
There are exceptions of course. Zombieland was an extremely refreshing look at the genre and, hard as it is to admit, Dead Snow, the film about Nazi zombies attacking a group of students in the Norwegian mountains, was actually a decent watch.
Aside from that, you'd be hard-stretched to find a zombie movie that isn't the same old rehashed rubbish just in a different setting - I know what I just said but... see Dead Snow.
That said, when you get a zombie movie right, it is ridiculously gripping stuff. And that's why we wanted to bring to your attention South Korean movie Train to Busan.
Check this shit out...

Zombie movies usually peak my interest at the end of the trailer before I forget I ever watched it and get on with my life, never seeing the film.
Train to Busan I will make an exception for because it looks like they've absolutely fucking nailed it.
