We said it's what the fans wanted, and now he has given us a vague sort of feeling that it just may be on the cards…

WARNING: CONTAINS SEASON FOUR SPOILERS

If you've still not made it through the latest series of Peaky Blinders and don't want to spoil any surprises, you might want to stop reading this article right now - why not read about the Kurupt FM crew chatting with Star Wars' Daisy Ridley?

In the words of Tommy Shelby, 'you can change what you do but you can't change what you want'. So if you don't want spoilers... well, you've been warned.

So, remember earlier on we said it'd be great if the creators of Peaky Blinders cast Stephen Graham as Al Capone in series five?

Well, it's happening people. This is not a drill. I repeat - this is not a drill.

Ok, well maybe it's not completely certain, but he's liked a post on Twitter, and that's all the proof we need!

Yes, Warren D (@wozwebs) tweeted: "If they want to make it awesome then cast the magnificent @StephenGraham73 who played Al Capone in Boardwalk Empire for some real cross programme continuity!"

The tweet only has one like so far, but it is the important one. This surely and definitely means that he is absolutely and certainly going to do it. Get in.

Graham is famous for his performances in films such as Snatch and This is England, but he also turned in a great performance as Al Capone in Boardwalk Empire alongside Steve Buscemi. He even won a Screen Actors Guild award for his trouble. What more could you ask for, eh?

He's also famously pals with Peaky Blinders' writer and creator Steven Knight, having worked together on Tom Hardy's Taboo earlier this year.

Graham played Atticus - the criminal informant to Hardy's James Keziah Delaney. Knight was drafted in to write the series with Hardy and his dad, Chips.

So there it is. We've got a link, we've got a like, and we've put the whole thing together to reach the conclusion that it will definitely happen.

So why the certainty of Capone showing up in the show?

Well, when the Shelby family were in the process of outwitting and then brutally killing Luca Changretta, he mentioned that he had gone above Changretta's head and made a deal with a certain Alphonse Capone.

Capone was pretty big in the world of illegal alcohol during the American Prohibition era, and as we all know, that is an area of business that Tommy and the Shelby Company Ltd are very interested to get into.

This seems to put the world's most famous gangster and sometime Alcatraz resident on a collision course with Birmingham's top boys.
