Terry Crews Says White Chicks 2 Is Going To Happen

Terry Crews Says White Chicks 2 Is Going To Happen

Aren't we all?

The Wayans brothers' movie White Chicks was a fun, hilarious ride showing two black men go undercover as privileged white women to solve a kidnapping case.

It was released in 2004 (which seems like a century ago) and we all thoroughly enjoy quoting it whenever 'A Thousand Miles' comes on or there's a spontaneous break dancing competition at the club.

But it seems as though White Chicks might not be over after Terry Crews' comments.

He portrayed a fictional famous NFL player Latrell Spencer, who was hell bent on winning over one of the sisters. Who can forget his body popping moves on the dance floor or his absolute love for a woman who can enjoy a good meal.

Crews was asked during a red carpet appearance whether he'd be keen to see a second installment.

"I would love one!" he told Us Weekly, "I'm staying in shape for White Chicks 2! I will never get out of shape - you know that, right? I will be 75 and say, 'Here we go, I'm ready to go!' I will never, ever get out of shape because that movie's going to happen one day."

It would be interesting to see how the Wayans brothers would write the script to make it work in 2019.

Marlon Wayans was asked about the potential project last year, but he seemed a bit hesitant compared to Crews' response.

He told MTV's TRL: "I don't know, but there's been some rumblings happening, and a lot of people want us to do it, so me and my brothers have been talking.

"So if things go right, we hope to do a White Chicks 2."

While that's not a flat out no, it certainly doesn't seem like he's pushing the idea too much.

Talks of a sequel have been around as early as 2009 when Sony announced production was underway. The project was later cancelled and it wasn't until 2015 until Marlon hinted that they might be picking things back up.

He took to Instagram, posting a mocked up image of a film poster with the caption: "Show of hands who wants to see the sequel to this? 300,000 likes and I may make this our next movie."

He got well over 450,000 likes, meaning that he has to deliver on what the people want. Whether he will is up for speculation.

If Terry, Marlon and the fans are keen then what's stopping them? Oh wait, maybe a decent script.
