IT'S BACK! If you were as excited as me to discover that Robot Wars was making a comeback (you definitely were not as excited as me) then you'll be equally as made up to find out that we don't have to wait that long either, it's back on BBC 2 on Sunday, 24 July.
I think this was actually the best TV show from my childhood, when I was a little nerdling. What was there not to love about Robot Wars? It had robots AND battles...and the names of the bots were amazing. Fat Boy Tin and Full Metal Anorak were my personal favourites.

The house robots were sick as well. Sir Killalot, Matilda, Dead Metal and Shunt are all back for this new series and they're deadlier than ever, apparently. There's no Craig Charles this time, but Dara O'Briain is probably definitely going to smash it as the new host, alongside new co-host Angela Scanlon. Across the series of six, one-hour shows there will be 40 teams fighting for the title in the bullet-proof arena.
If you don't remember it the first time round, then all you need to know is that there are some amazing homemade robots fighting against each other and the house robots. There were always spikes, fire and circular saws and sometimes Jeremy Clarkson presented it, although that does seem unlikely now, unfortunately.
I can't fucking wait.
