The first full trailer has dropped for American Horror Story: 1984 - and it looks like we could be in for some 80s slasher movie nostalgia.
But don't take my word for it - take executive producer Tim Minear's word for it.

Speaking to The Wrap in May, he said: "I think it's gonna be really scary but a lot of fun, like it always is. And that if you have a taste for '80s horror, you're in for a treat."
Judging by the trailer, it doesn't look like the series is going to push boundaries exactly, but that's not to say it won't be a good watch. After all, who wouldn't enjoy seeing a group of good looking and amusingly dressed young people heading off to a summer camp - at the 'site of the worst summer massacre of all time' - only to be picked off one by one by an escaped psychopath with a knife? ... A psychopath called Mr Jingles, no less.
The cast of American Horror Story: 1984 includes Emma Roberts, Cody Fern, Gus Kenworthy, Billie Lourd, Matthew Morrison, Angelica Ross, DeRon Horton, and Zach Villa; however, Evan Peters won't be making an appearance this time around.
This isn't especially surprising, given his 'exhausting' experiences of making previous seasons of the show.

In an interview with GQ, Peters said: "It's just exhausting. It's really mentally draining, and you don't want to go to those places ever in your life. And so you have to go there for the scenes, and it ends up integrating it somehow into your life.
"You're in traffic and you find yourself screaming and you're like, 'What the hell? This isn't who I am.'"
Sarah Paulson is also not expected to make an appearance in American Horror Story: 1984, according to Variety, despite having starred in all eight previous seasons.
Paulson has claimed five Emmy nominations for her various roles on the show, but Paulson's representatives declined to comment when asked by Variety whether she would appear in season nine.
