The Haunting Of Hill House Star Teases 'Exciting' Second Season

The Haunting of Hill House star Oliver Jackson-Cohen has revealed that the second season will be 'exciting' but, as yet, won't even confirm that he's going to be in it.

The first season of show was a huge success for Netflix last year, managing to be one of the few TV shows to do horror well, so it was no big surprise when a second season was announced.

And Carla Guginoa (who played Olivia Crain) dropped the hint that showrunner Mike Flanagan was keen on the idea of it becoming an anthology series, similar to American Horror Story, focusing on a different story each season. She said he would be 'interested in the notion of an anthology, where some actors come back to play different characters'.

So, while the first season centred on the unfortunate Crain family living in Hill House, the second season will be called The Haunting of Bly Manor and is reportedly based on The Turn of Screw by Henry James, which some of you might remember from GCSE English.

Now, Jackson-Cohen, who played adult Luke Crain in the first season, has spoken to The Wrap, but he's keeping pretty tight-lipped about the plot.

When asked if he was in the second season, he joked: "I will get shot if I ever answer that question."

Adding: "I would love to answer that question. All I can say is that Bly Manor is going to be incredible. It's a very, very exciting story from what I've head."

Although he refused to reveal if he was in the new season, he did admit that he would be very happy to, if given the chance.

After heaping praise on the entire cast and crew, he told the news outlet: "It was such a dream. And I think, as well, working with someone like Mike who writes these characters that are so much more - there's so many dimensions to these characters that he writes that I think anyone would love to work with a writer like that. So, I would 100 per cent love to do it."

As yet, the second season has no official release date, but according to the show's official Twitter account it will land in 2020 at some point. Until then you can stream the first season on Netflix right now.
