The trailer for the My Friend Dahmer has been released and it looks so good - if you like your movies dark, then you're in for a treat.
The film centres on the life of infamous killer and necrophile Jeffery Dahmer, and is based on the graphic novel by John Backderf, who went to school with Dahmer in Ohio in the 1970s.

It follows the real-life story of Dahmer's high school days, including his 'obsession with bones', carrying out his own grisly experiments in his backyard lab, alcoholism and how he got a reputation for being a class clown.
Dahmer committed his first murder just three weeks after graduation, aged 18. He killed young men and boys and became infamous for mutilating the bodies of his victims, carrying out sickening acts of necrophilia and cannibalism. He would go on killing until he was apprehended in 1991.

He was later diagnosed with a borderline personality disorder, schizotypal personality disorder and a psychotic disorder, but was found to be legally sane at his trial, where he was sentenced to life in prison. He was beaten to death by a fellow inmate named Christopher Scarver.
However, the film is set in the 1970s, when Dahmer and his classmates were in their teens, and aims to tell the 'story before the story', according to the film's writer and director Marc Meyers.
To add extra creepiness, some of the scenes were filmed at the actual Dahmer house.
Ross Lynch has been cast as the killer, and the two men actually look scarily similar:

Besides, who doesn't want to see a former Disney star portraying one of the worst serial killers of all time? No one, that's who.
It's expected to be released in autumn this year, but no official release date has been set yet. It had a massively successful showing at Tribeca this year, and has an almost unheard of 100 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
