The Twins Who Played Emma On Friends Are In New Movie Us

Noelle and Cali Sheldon both portrayed baby Emma in Friends way back when. Mind = blown

Remember Emma from Friends? Yeah? Well, doesn't she look all grown up. I mean, don't they - because if you didn't already know the baby was portrayed by twins.

Those twins - Cali and Noelle Sheldon - are now 16 and they have taken on a role in new horror movie Us.

Our minds have been well and truly blown and yeah, yeah - we're going to have to say the usual - how old do we feel? Yep, two people followed the usual pattern of ageing by growing up. Who would have guessed, eh?

In Jordan Peele's latest horror movie, Us, the teen twins play Becca and Lindsay - the onscreen daughters of Elisabeth Moss' character, Kitty Tyler.

Cali announced the news on her Instagram page.

You obviously won't have recognised them, given the fact that you've probably not seen them since the 90s but the sisters probably have one of the most recognisable roles of the cast after playing Emma Gellar-Green in Seasons 9 and 10 of Friends.

Not to completely contradict my earlier sentiments but it still is crazy when you think about it though especially if you remember back to Joey, Chandler and Monica all recording Emma's 18th birthday messages.

Earlier this year, people lost their minds over the fact that the twins will turn 18 in real life next year.

The realisation came from a 22-year-old blogger named Lucy who tweeted: "Ok so I was watching Friends last night and Ross was filming a tape for Emma's 18th birthday and Chandler says the line 'Hi Emma. It's 2020. Have you woken up from your nap yet?' And it's just dawned on me that 2020 is NEXT YEAR. Emma would be 18 NEXT YEAR."

One person commented: "Gonna go pick up my pension," while another replied with: "That can't be right? How did that happen?!"

And even though Friends has well and truly ended *sobs* the pair haven't left it behind, as Noelle posted an Instagram photo of the her and her sister on the FriendsFest set along with the caption: "The one where Emma got cloned."

According to ET Online, back in 2006 the twins played the part of a one-year-old girl in movie Novel Romance. Funnily enough, they portrayed a character who was coincidentally called Emma.

Speaking to the publication back in 2015 about their time on Friends, Noelle said: "I grew up knowing that I was on Friends, but I didn't realise the extent of it until I was 10."

Oh boy, they'll never live it down. Just wait until their 21st. Then their 30th, 40th, 50th and so on...
