There's Going To Be A Reboot Of Rambo, But Sylvester Stallone Won't Be In It

Can't help but think Sly is irreplaceable.

When I find out that one of my favourite films or film series is being rebooted I'm always a bit gutted.

Why can't movie makers just come up with new ideas instead of ruining my childhood?

Anyway, the latest classic to get the reboot treatment is Rambo. Sylvester Stallone declared himself done with the franchise earlier this year, so they'll need to find themselves a new John Rambo. A 70-year-old Sly could still pull it off though, I reckon.

The Hollywood Reporter writes that the company behind the new film, Nu Image/Millennium Films, will be hoping to create a more timeless character, like James Bond.

The film has been given the working title Rambo: New Blood, and will be the fifth in the franchise, since the original came out in 1982.

There have been no announcements on who will play the new title character, but whoever it is will have pretty big shoes to fill.

Who would you like to see as the next John Rambo?
