Remember
when The X Factor used to provide us with gripping drama, exciting
performances, and worthy, memorable champions?
Well, there is now an argument that the show that gave us such unforgettable talents as Alex and Sierra, Ben Haenow, and Leon Jackson (no, I haven't a clue either) should give up and pack it in anyway.
For a start, nobody is watching anymore. This series has seen the show hit new lows for ratings.

In fact, it has become so bad for Simon Cowell's former ratings smash that people would rather watch 'celebrities' doing silly little dances, or thousands of fish jizzing than endure one single second of X Factor drama.
Seriously, though, when you are getting smashed out of both Saturday and Sunday nights (especially by Strictly Come Dancing and Strictly Cum Fishing AKA Blue Planet II) it's probably about time to knock it on the head.
On top of that, those hardy few who are still watching have accused the show's organisers of a fix-up.

Allegedly, the X Factor powers-that-be paired winners Rak Su with two artists, and left one artist (the catchily-titled Kevin) performing with a guy who is not even a singer.
Literally SOME fans took to twitter to complain about this grave injustice to their beloved Kevin:
Anyway, the show reached the final episode on Sunday and, perhaps unsurprisingly, Rak Su won.

Yes, the boy band triumphed over Grace Davies in the live final to write their way into British musical history alongside The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and Steve Brookstein as 'People Who Have Released Music'.
Anyway, that wasn't what got people's attention.
In announcing the winners, Cowell managed a plug for main sponsor Just Eat into the announcement of the winner.
Cowell said: "Obviously to the guys, Rak-Su, you are gentlemen; you are stars and to everyone that voted - thank you.

"I also have to say something else. This doesn't get paid for by nothing. I want to say thank you to Just Eat, because they paid for this. Thank you so much guys."
Once again, Twitter wasn't happy.
What do you think? Is X Factor still a classic or has it's time come?
