Tom Hardy Took A Break From Filming To Crash This Guy's Birthday Party

Imagine this.

Tom Hardy is pretty universally liked, isn't he? I'm not sure if it's because of the roles he chooses or those old photos on his MySpace that show he's clearly happy to take the piss out of himself, or because he does cool stuff like this.

While filming in my home city of Liverpool this week, Hardy decided to gatecrash a 30th birthday party being held in a posh hotel. As you do.

Hardy was at the Shankly Hotel, as a party was taking place in one of the suites, so he took it upon himself to go and see what was going on. And a couple of the party goers even managed to get him to pose for a couple of selfies.

The snap was uploaded with the caption 'When Tom Hardy walks in your room', now if you're assuming that guy meant the room they were partying in, I think you're wrong, because one of the fellas appears to be topless. So, did Tom Hardy just stroll into their actual hotel room?

Look:

Is this Tom Hardy, just barging into people's hotel rooms? Who knows? Who cares? It's Tom Hardy, he can do what he likes.

He then headed to the hotel's restaurant where, according to the Liverpool Echo, he had a hanging chicken kebab and a sharing steak platter - not sure if that was all for him or not, if it was, fair play.

A source told the paper: "Tom certainly turned heads when he walked into the hotel. Nobody could quite believe that a Hollywood star was in the building and certainly not the boy whose birthday party he gatecrashed!

"They absolutely loved it though. He seemed very tempted to join the party some more but needed to return to filming."

Animal-loving Tom then invited Lisa Rhodes, founder of Liverpool Dog Rescue, backstage so they could have a talk about dogs. Amazing. Imagine being at work one day and randomly getting an invite to go and chat pooches with a Hollywood star.

She said: "I have always been a fan of Tom Hardy and know he is a big animal lover and I knew he was filming in Liverpool so I went down with one of our supporters Sue Wright to where he was filming.

"He was so lovely and seemed genuinely interested in hearing about Liverpool Dog Rescue.

"We took some treats for his dog Woody too who is adorable.

"Tom had a really busy schedule so was unable to come and visit our pooches at the kennels yesterday but said he would love to come and see us another time, so we are hopeful maybe next time he's in Liverpool he will pop over."

What a cool guy?
