A Cambridge academic appeared completely naked on Good Morning Britain in order to argue why Brexit is like 'the emperor's new clothes'.
Dr Victoria Bateman went completely starkers on the show to say she thinks that Britain's withdrawal from the EU will leave the country 'exposed' and 'naked economically'.

She said: "The key message I have to deliver is Brexit is the emperor's new clothes, that what high-profile Brexiteers promised Brexit voters is just not possible to deliver.
"The British economy faces many, many problems right now - shortage with housing, problems with the NHS, wages stagnating, too many people up and down the country using food banks - but the European Union is not the cause of those problems.
"So how is Brexit going to help us solve those problems? That are at the heart of our daily struggles?"
The recently-added GMB presenter, Richard Madeley, asked her about the growing comments on Twitter saying she is simply being an 'exhibitionist'.

However, Dr Bateman argued that it was her 'right' to 'use her body for more than sex and babies'.
She said: "I've heard many times on Twitter and my answer is; no, I am not an exhibitionist, I am a woman, comfortable in my own body, in control of my body, who is happy to use my body in order to deliver an important message about the most important issue facing Britain in a whole generation, to raise concerns about this entire 'Brexit project'.
"Why should I, as a woman, only be able to use my body for sex and babies? Why shouldn't I also be able to use my body to deliver an important message?"
Although she was attempting to speak about Brexit and the upcoming issues Britain may face, many people were more distracted by the fact she was sat in her birthday suit.

One person said: "Ummm so there is a naked woman on Good Morning Britain what on earth! #GMB."
"What is going on. Bird naked on good morning Britain protesting against brexit???" another said.
While a third commented: "There's a naked woman on protesting against Brexit. I can't."
Others, however, just seemed gutted Piers Morgan wasn't there to give his two cents on the situation.
"I wasn't expecting this when I switched my tv on..where's @piersmorgan when you need him," one posted.

Another said: "You sort of wish @piersmorgan was there for this one..."
Obviously, this isn't Dr Bateman's first go at going nude in public - last week she stripped off to appear on BBC Radio 4, stunning the host John Humphrys.
Turns out John wasn't privy to the information she'd be bearing all, but Madeley admitted that the hosts of the ITV morning show did know she was going to be nude and had blurred her.

"We've known for hours this was going to happen. We've girded our loins as it were," he explained. "I must say as the only male presenter here I don't find it shocking. It's a bit unusual and strange though."
