M&S Is Launching A Jaffa Cake Cocktail And It's £10

Our favourite biscuity-cake snack is to become a cocktail and we're pretty happy about it, ngl

Whether you full moon, half moon, total eclipse them or nibble all the chocolate off before eating the orange jelly - everyone loves a Jaffa Cake, or 15.

So how exciting would it be if we told you that M&S have unveiled its full food and drink range for Christmas 2018 and included in it is an alcoholic Jaffa Cake cocktail. It's pre-mixed and everything.

We know what you're thinking - what a time to be alive.

The Marks and Sparks' tipple contains rum, and it will be available in stores in early autumn, meaning you'll be able to stock up on the orange-infused booze when Christmas comes around.

To serve the cocktail, all you need to do is give it a mix in a cocktail shaker, before pouring it over ice with a slice of juicy orange. And of course you can fuck off the fancy bit and swap it for some actual Jaffa Cakes instead, which sounds right up our street.

M&S is selling the drink at just £10 for a 350cl bottle, meaning you can highlight it on your list for Santa.

M&S are also bringing out a Buck's Fizz Marmalade, Blackberry and Gin Jelly and Millionaire's Salted Caramel Biscuits. Yes, yes and yes please.

But if you're less about the food and more about the booze, they also have other cocktails including a dairy based drink with rum, vanilla and lemon flavouring, called the 'White Christmas Cocktail'.

Oh stop it now.

And if that ain't enough, there's also a Spiced Apple Pie Martini and a Mince Pie Martini.

But back to the chocolate orange-y treats. If you don't want to have a drink during the festivities then get yourself to Tesco for a giant Jaffa Cake for just two quid.

We're spoiling you here, aren't we?

The cake is big enough to feed six people unless you just want to demolish it all yourself - we won't judge.

And if you're still questioning your Jaffa Cake eating technique after reading the first paragraph, we should let you know that there is a right way.

Yep, McVitie's consulted food scientist and flavour expert Dr Stuart Farrimond who, as well as having a sick job title, is more than qualified to teach us how to eat a snack.

He said: "We ran a panel of experiments to discover the best ratio of chocolate, orange jam and sponge. Given that the orange jam layer is pooled in the central segment of the Jaffa Cake, different eating styles will result in different combinations of these three layers in each mouthful.

"Whilst the most common way to eat a Jaffa Cake is the Half Mooner technique, our research concluded that the 'All Rounder' with the middle portion of the Jaffa Cake eaten as one, gives the optimum sweetness, taste and flavour.

"This can only be fully appreciated by nibbling the edge off first and then eating the middle portion alone."
