Devil May Cry 5 could be getting a mention at next week's E3 event after a domain name for the title has appeared.
The hack and slash third-person shooter created a mass fan base when the original was released back in 2001 and there are still plenty of fans who would love a fresh sequel to the franchise.
It's a bit of peculiar way to discover the possible release of a new video game, but there is some evidence to back up this theory.
DevilMayCry5.com was created with a third party company, who Capcom have used before when registering domain names. GMO Internet Group registered Monsterhunterworld.com and Residentevil7.com before they were released, which is why fans believe more information will be revealed soon.
Not only have they made domains for the next instalment but GMO have also created them for DevilMayCry6, 8 and 9, so be expecting some news on this when we find out more about DMC 5.
In December last year, game designer Hideaki Itsuno exclaimed his apologies for not releasing a game in 2017. He has already been the mastermind behind games 2-4 in the series, so his current project could be what fans have been waiting so long for.
Yes, there have been recent releases of remasters from the original DMC series, but an announcement at E3 for a brand new game could be on the cards and is definitely what the fans are after.
