LAD On Twitter Helps Fellow Gamer Achieve John Wick On ‘Fortnite’

His parents took his Xbox away because they thought he needed to recover from a concussion but someone helped him out

Players on the viral video game Fortnite have been waiting nervously to see what the comet in the sky was going to bring. Turns out, it was the symbol of the end of season three and helped usher in the next instalment.

While it means bigger and better things for the game, it made gamers anxious because they had to rack up as many points as possible so that they could carry their achievements into the next season.

One of those achievements was getting the character John Wick, which Epic Games called The Reaper. You would unlock Keanu Reeves' badass character after once you reached Tier 100, which is no easy task.

One bloke was well on his way to reaching that milestone until he suffered a concussion.

He was literally on the cusp of Tier 100 when he says he had a 20-minute argument with his parents because they said that recovering from the head injury was more important than video games. Uh, do they know about Fortnite? Didn't think so.

The mum and dad clearly did the whole 'well we know better than you' stunt and took away the man's Xbox.

Exasperated, devastated and lost, he took to Twitter to vent his frustrations.

Out of the blue, a friend came to his aid and they organised for him to log onto OG's account and get to Tier 100 by the time that season three ended. He explained that all the guy needed to do was do one damage on someone with an explosive weapon and all would be good with the world.

Sure enough, the helper notched that easy win and the John Wick character was unlocked.

It's not everyday that a knight in shining armour comes from Twitter but no one is complaining that this LAD helped out a bro in need.

Hopefully he will use The Reaper to the fullest extent in season four.

The new chapter has created a whole new location to explore. The area is called Hop Rocks - as that's the area where the comet hit, and - fittingly enough - if you go there you'll find some glowing rocks that you can eat up and gain the ability to fly.

Well, sort of. You gain a kind of low gravity power that means you can float about, which has got to be fun.

Whatever the case, Epic Games assures us that 'the world will never be the same'.
