A source close to YouTube star PewDiePie has stated that he will be closing his account within the next six months.
This comes after fans took to Twitter to say how his recent videos seem almost forced and that he either needs to work on hiding his lack of interest or take a break.
One of his editors, and friend of PewDiePie, known as Brad 2, replied to these comments by saying:
"A lot of people been asking about PewDiePie energy/mood this week. Been in various meetings over the past couple weeks. As far as it has been expressed to me, Felix is bringing the PewDiePie channel to an official end within 6 months, so this is likely why."
Felix has announced before that he would be ending his channel, but previously he said once it hits the 50 million subscriber mark that would be it.
This turned out to be a joke that everyone apparently took too literally, but his lack of enthusiasm of recent times is definitely clear to see and it seems a lot more real this time around.
We're not really sure whether to believe it or not, as surely if anyone was going to break bad news to his fans it would be the man himself.
On a more positive note, Brad's tweet doesn't only suggest that the PewDiePie channel is coming to an end, but that there could be a possibility up for Felix making a brand new channel.
Is this something you'd like to see? The majority of his current subscribers would surely jump over to a new one if it was made, so he wouldn't have to worry about grinding for millions of subscribers once again.
We think the smart thing to do would be to go for a long, well-earned break, even if this news is absolute nonsense. It's evident that the man works tirelessly to produce his videos, day in day out, and a nice holiday could help him get back into a right state of mind.
