Professional gamer Douglas 'FaZe Censor' Martin has split up with his long-term girlfriend Yanet Garcia - dubbed the 'World's Sexiest Weather Girl' - so he can concentrate on his gaming.

Fair enough...

Twenty-three-year old Martin shared a video in which he explained why he chose to call time on their relationship, calling his ex an 'awesome' and 'smart' woman - before saying he has to do 'what's right' for him.

Which is spend more time on his gaming console.

In the clip, titled 'We Broke Up', he tells his followers: "Yanet and I are no longer in a relationship with each other anymore.

"Yanet is an awesome girl, she deserves the best. She's beautiful, she's smart, she was an awesome girlfriend.

"I know it sounds weird I'm saying all this...it's just, I got to do what feels right for me."

He then goes on to describe the strain that was placed on the relationship when she moved back to Mexico City to pursue a career in acting and modelling and to carry on her work as a weather girl, while Martin stayed in New York, where the couple had been living for a year.

Describing how he fully supported her decision to follow her dreams, he then added: "I'm playing Call of Duty full-time now and she wanted to take her job opportunity. I didn't think it was going to be that difficult."

Although they initially had a long-distance relationship, when they tried it second time around, Martin says it didn't work as he was too tied up with gaming to make regular trips to go and see his other half.

Martin said: "Back then it was a lot easier for me to go out and see her. But now I have obligations.

"I'm on a contract. I have obligations I need to fulfill. It's not like I don't want to do this, this is the career that I want."

"I want to win a ring, I want to win a world championship, what I want in my life at this very moment is to complete in Call of Duty because I love it so much.'

"I'm going to do whatever it takes to be a champion."

He added that the long-distance and the incompatible working hours meant that he couldn't give Garcia the attention she deserved, so he was left with 'no option' but to end things, before wishing her all the best with her career.

Garcia also confirmed the split with a simple tweet last week which read: "Heartbroken."
