Ever Wondered What Happened To Stacy From The ‘Stacy’s Mom’ Video?

The year is 2003: The O.C and Little Britain has just started; the Nokia 3200 is all the rage; and the Concorde makes its final commercial flight. But while all that was going on, there was a tune that was being played around the world which had an accompanying video that could have acted as some people's sexual awakening.

We're talking, of course, about 'Stacy's Mom' by Fountains of Wayne.

Unfortunately for the band it was largely their only successful song however it did go on to be nominated for a Grammy for Best Vocal Pop Performance. It told the story of a young lad who was obsessed with Stacy's mum and did everything he could to grab another glance of the attractive woman.

It gets pretty weird when Stacy walks in on the bloke jacking it while images of her mum dressed in a very small bikini flash on the screen. You'd be pretty pissed if you were Stacy and kept getting upstaged by your mum.

But it's clear that the actor who played Stacy hasn't spent the rest of her days in the shadow of this fictional woman.

Her real name is Gianna Dispenza and she's all grown up and has become an artist. Having a scroll through her website, she's incredibly talented and works in both sculpting and painting.

It's a far cry from when she was the famous 'Stacy' in 2003.

For a bonus bit of trivia, the woman who played her mum in the music video was New Zealand model Rachel Hunter.

She's worked with Vogue, Elle, Rolling Stone, Playboy, Cosmopolitan and Harper's Bazaar throughout her career and been on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue twice - it's not hard to imagine why.

It's not the first time she's played a MILF either, with Ms Hunter also being credited as a 'sexy soccer mum' in The Benchwarmers, which premiered three years after 'Stacy's Mom'.

The kid who desperately wanted to be in with Stacy's mum, Shane Haboucha is now 27-years-old and has worked in a bunch of TV shows in the early to mid-2000s, including The O.C, Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, That's So Raven, Justice League and Without a Trace.

While they've all gone on to do bigger and better things, many can't help but remember them in their former glory as the cast of 'Stacy's Mom'.
