Amber Heard was born on 22 April 1986, in Austin, Texas. After quitting high school at 17 she moved to Los Angeles to work as a model and actress. She got her first acting break in the pilot of a TV show called Jack & Bobby.

Later in 2004 she played the role of Maria in the movie Friday Night Lights. Many actors would love to find themselves a recurring role and she did just that in the television series Hidden Palms. She eventually became a certified star after starring in Pineapple Express with James Franco and Seth Rogen. Since then she's appeared in other mainstream films such as Magic Mike XXL, Justice League and Aquaman.
Amber doesn't just perform in front of the movie camera, she's a producer too. She co-produced the film And Soon the Darkness in 2010 and executive produced the film Syrup in 2013.
Controversy
Amber Heard was well known for being in a turbulent relationship with Johnny Depp. The pair have divorced since, but the process was very messy with both of them accusing the other of physical abuse. Depp has claimed that he has submitted 87 surveillance videos to support his defamation case against his ex-wife. Depp claimed that he was abused by Heard and alleged that she attacked him on several occasions, including one alleged incident in which a bottle of vodka was thrown at him. On that occasion, representatives for Depp say that the bottle 'severed (his) middle finger on his right hand and shattered the bones, causing him to require surgery'.

Heard also spoke out in a bid to encourage lawmakers to push for revenge porn perpetrators to be punished with prison sentences after her iCloud account was hacked in 2014.
According to the Metro, the Aquaman star said: "Non-consensual porn is one of the worst violations of privacy and it doesn't discriminate, instead it disproportionately affects women around the world with devastating consequences.
"Intimate content released into the internet is virtually impossible to remove, further subjecting victims to harassment and judgement from strangers and acquaintances alike.
"It can result and often does in devastating and economic, social psychological consequences. My stolen and manipulated photos are still online to this day, posted again and again with sexually explicit and humiliating and degrading headlines about my body, about myself.

"I continue to be harassed, stalked and humiliated by the theft of those images. The consequences to my personal safety, dignity and livelihood are severe.
