The Marvel Cinematic Universe is set to go full circle with the release of Spider-Man: Far From Home. Before I go into detail, this article contains Endgame spoilers, so if you haven't seen it yet, crawl out from under your rock and watch it before you carry on reading. You have been warned.

Many people were led to believe the dramatic conclusion to Endgame was the end for MCU phase 3. But if you're still mourning the loss of fan-favourite Iron Man, then put your tears on hold as the ride isn't over yet.

In a recent interview, MCU boss Kevin Feige confirmed that Spider-Man: Far From Home is the real end of phase three, not Endgame. So despite us watching some of the most iconic heroes sailing off into the sunset there's a possibility that some could feature one final time.

While speaking to press at a fan event in China, Feige said:

"You've seen Avengers: Endgame, but you haven't seen it all yet. And there we were thinking this was the end

"Spider-Man: Far From Home is the conclusion to the Infinity Saga. And what started with Iron Man 1, finally comes to fruition in Spider-Man: Far From Home."

Fans are already furiously speculating what this could all mean, with rumours being that Tony could appear in the form of a hologram message. If it's anything like the last one, I don't think my heart can take it.

In case you're not up to date with the different phases of the MCU Cinematic Universe, here's a very brief overview:

Phase one

The movies that started it all and gave us a great introduction to the heroes we've grown to love.

Films included: Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, Thor, Captain America: The First Avenger and The Avengers.

Phase two

Phase two introduced even more characters whilst adding some depth to Iron Man, Thor and Captain America.

These films included: Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy, Avengers: Age of Ultron and Ant-Man.

Phase three

This is the biggest of the lot. We watched all of the characters come together to finally take on some guy with a weird looking chin.

Films included: Captain America: Civil War, Doctor Strange, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Thor: Ragnarok, Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Captain Marvel, Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Phase four

Little is known about what's next for the MCU, but it's all about to kick off after the premiere of Spider-Man: Far From Home.

We do, however, know that EIGHT Marvel films are on the Disney slate between now and 2027.

It was recently reported that Avengers: Endgame will be re-released in cinemas this weekend with new footage and a special gift after the end credits.

Be still our beating hearts. It's almost too much to take.
