Channel 7 has finally dropped the lineup for Big Brother VIP, which is the celebrity version of the popular reality TV show.

While there are a few names that some people will be familiar with, there are loads who viewers have no idea who that are.

There is a big mix of local and international guests who will be locked away for weeks inside the Big Brother house.

The overseas talent includes Caitlyn Jenner, Meghan Markle's brother Thomas Jr., and American political aide Omarosa.

They will be rubbing shoulders with Married at First Sight Australia's Jessika Power, Aussie actor Bernard Curry, models Imogen Anthony, Ellie Gonsalves and Josh Carroll, sports stars Matt Cooper and Dayne Beams, Survivor Australia's Luke Toki and Big Brother 2021 favourite Danny Hayes.

After a hell of a lot of hype, the lineup is finally here and while a lot of work went into getting these stars into the house, many aren't convinced the show lives up to its celebrity status.

One person wrote: "I doubt any of these people are, in the real reality, important. I'm sure none are very important."

Another added: "Literally never heard of 80% of these 'celebrities'."

A third summed up the discontent with: "As a Big Brother fan from the very first season oh so many years ago - this is a hard no from me. Aside from not supporting the Aus arts sector - your choices are so poor that you clearly do not understand your viewers at all."

Channel 7 hasn't set a date yet for when the season will drop on TV except for the teaser of 'later this year'.

We'll get to see then whether this cast lineup is any good.
